LIMA, PERU – They're young, they're hot, and definitely making themselves known in Latin music is Calle 13. Bruce Hotel is proud to announce that our hotel will host Calle 13 as our guests. We want to make their stay here at Bruce Hotel as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Calle 13, a new group emerging from the Puerto Rican genre was formed by two half brothers, Rene “Residente” Perez Joglar and Eduardo “Visitante” Jose Cabra Martinez. Rene was born on February 23, 1978 in Hato, Puerto Rico; and his half brother, Eduardo on September 10, 1978 in Santurce. When they were kids, Eduardo would visit his brother weekly on 13 th Street (Calle 13), a street in the suburbs of El Conquistador, in Trujillo Alto. Eduardo grew up with many musical knowledge acquired through his years of studies, while Rene grew up with an artistic and poetic background that developed into an exception lyricist. Together, they formed Calle 13, having hit singles like “Atrevete” and “Se Vale To-to.”

Calle 13 is here in Lima, Peru, to perform for a Halloween Concert at Club Villa. They are different from other raggaeton groups due their different approach from the norm of raggaeton. Instead of the same beat and style of reggaeton, Calle 13 incorporates a fusion of funk, hip-hop, reggae, salsa, jazz, Brazilian and more, making them hottest reggeton group in both Latinos and Anglos communities. Their lyrics are full of irony, word play, and cultural politics. With a mixture of rapping and music you can dance to, it is certain that their performance at Club Villa will be a wild night for their fans. With such a vigorous performance, Bruce Hotel is ready to lighten their load with our luxury suites. Our goal is provide them with the amenities that they need to make their stay with us an excellent and pleasant experience.
